As the newly appointed Press Release Officer, I am pleased to announce that the people behind the UK Micro Challenge have now formed a fully BRCA affiliated micro section. This is a huge step forward for micro scale racing and with the backing of the BRCA we look forward to a very exciting future for the sport. The BRCA were very impressed with the organisation of the past three Micro Challenge events and were more than happy to offer the organisers a section under the control of a committed and experienced committee. The BRCA micro section committee members are:-
We are all very please with the result of the meeting with the BRCA and we would like to thank Jim Spencer and Russ Giles for their help in realising our dreams and for all their future help and support. What does this mean for you, the racers? Well there is already a BRCA Micro National Series planned for this winter, comprising of 6 rounds across the country, with a very similar style to the past events. All entry forms and event information should be available in the first week of July via our new website www.ukmicrox.co.uk along with write-ups and results of past events, pics and much much more. All 6 event locations are still up for grabs. If you would like your club to host at least one of these events then please e-mail Kev Bradley kevin.bradley13@btinternet.com and fill in an application form.
