Venues & dates for 2009
-
Body stiffeners are allowed. The
various current solutions will not be allowed on safety grounds.
Body width will be measured on top of the wing. If the bottom of the
body shell is flared to more than 277, technical inspection will
assess if this has been deliberately done and issue first warnings.
A second breach of the rule will result in disqualification from
that heat. I think this will be ok.
-
Design of new 3 chamber pipes.
All current pipes and conical manifolds will be illegal in 2008. We
expect the new pipes on the market early in 2008.
-
Tyre additives are banned
-
Spacing of Le-Mans start box's
increased from 3 to 5 meters
-
8th still needs to be quieter and seen
to be more green
-
lowering of the nitro content in steps.
i.e. 16% in 2010 , 10% 2012. This will only be proposed after
consolation with major engine manufactures as to the impact.
-
Body heights may be lowered to avoid
high side dams and "slot car" type bodies
-
As expected I had direct feedback about
the large numbers of drivers entering the Euros and not turning up.
We were very guilty of this in 2007. If you cannot make next year
let me know as soon as possible.
-
We expect the WC will be very popular
in 2009 and we will struggle for spaces. So as per our rules we will
look to our national championship for team selection if over
subscribed.
