1/8th IC Changes

Most of you will be aware that John Cheeseman passed away at the end of December. John had been the regional Rep. for the South East for many years.

This situation leaves the Region without a person to co-ordinate the racing for the future and represent the Region as part of the National committee. Not withstanding the interests of the drivers in the Region, we owe it to John to ensure his work is continued. So, the Clubs in the Region need to elect a new representative.

Using the BRCA Club affiliation list from 2004, we have contacted all the clubs in the area to notify them of the intention. Whilst some of them have not replied, or are not interested in Off-Road events, we think we now have all the interested parties on board.

The meeting will be:- Tuesday, 25th. January 2005. The venue is:- X-cite Telecoms (rear entrance off) 8 Lonsdale Gardens Tunbridge Wells TN1 1NU. Time:- 08:00pm. The prime reason for holding this meeting is to elect your new Regional Representative. All persons interested are welcome to attend, but to arrive at a democratic result, any decisions will be restricted to one club one vote. In addition, with interested parties present, it would be useful to discuss the plans for the forthcoming Regional Series of events in the South East. As the region has no official currently in place, I have agreed to attend and 'chair' the meeting. So, it would ideal if all interested clubs are represented. If any club or persons cannot attend but have suggestions or opinions they would like presented, then please contact me by e-mail or hard copy by next Monday evening (24th.) latest and outline your thoughts.
