Dan Skeels wins the 12th F2 Stock Cars English Championship

Another good turn out of drivers attended the F2 English Championship at the TTT Raceway only one week after the 2nd round of world qualifying at Wisbech with drivers travelling up from Devon and the south.


Format was 4 rounds with best 3 to count over 5min heats with top 4 drivers going through to final with Chris Usher taking FTD and the other three drivers straight through was Dan Skeels ,Phil Chadbourne and Kelly Clarke the next 16 drivers racing in two 6min semi finals top two from each semi through to the final .
After some good STOCKCAR racing two drivers through from the first semi was Graham Gamble and Mark Steel and the two drivers through from the second semi was Dave Tomlinson Snr and Martin Nash.


The final was one of the best F2 finals seen to date with Chris Usher choosing to take the inside grid position with Dan Skeels right next to him racing was over 6 mins with a good clean start by the front drivers Dan Skeels managed to get in front with both drivers staying bumper to bumper through out the race with Dan Skeels finishing on 112 laps and Chris Usher just 1.75 seconds behind after a gruelling 6min of racing with Phil Chadbourne current world champion in 3rd place on 111 laps
