James Stamp Wins Stock Cars 1/12th F2 championship round at Bicester

Stockcars

The F2 KAMTEC World Championship Series moved to Bicester for round 3 , this tight little track with lots of grip threw up a few problems for some drivers. 38 drivers arrived to do battle and battle they did.

Race format as usual was four rounds of heats with best three to count it was going to be tough to qualify straight through but the drivers to make it was Keith Dowsett and taking the bonus point with James Stamp Chris Usher and Dave Tomlinson Snr the others to go straight to the final ,the next 16 would go to two semi finals and two from each make the final .
Semi 1 which included world champion Phil Chadbourne and four other drivers that had made previous finals was going to be a hard race , Phil had car problems early on and dropped out of the race but after 6 mins of hard STOCKCAR racing it was Graham Gamble and Ian Rolph top two to make it through to the final
Semi 2 on paper looked the easiest of the two semi to make it but with Dan Skeels having handling problems with his car and Chelle having a good day it was Paul Davidson and Chelle Snowden top two to go through
Final with Keith taking pole he decided to have the outside grid position leaving his team mate James in second spot on the inside  they had the front row locked out and both had a great start from what I could see it was going to be close between Keith James and Chris  but we found out after that Keith was having problems with his transponder not counting  so the winner was James Stamp driving one of Keith's (Mr KAMTEC) F2's , the rest of the result are on the picture attached
Grand National this was a very lively race with 12 cars entering  with Ryan Stuart and Andy Clements swapping places all through the race with Ryan just taking the win with 79 laps and Andy 2nd on 78 laps
