1/10 EC Formula 1 - Rule interpretation 16.3

10th Electric Circuit

Rule 16.3 has been brought to the attention of the committee via public forum

An interpretation of rule 16.3 has been brought to the attention of the committee via public forum. We would like to inform all drivers that the committee will continue to interpret this rule fairly and consistent with the last 6 years over multiple F1 committees with no issues.

Many Formula 1 body shells on the market are not made for specific a chassis but rather marketed as items that can be mounted on any chassis. They are therefore available (for purchase) with any chassis. A chassis that does not come sold with a body shell in the kit box will not be disallowed under rule 16.3 on that basis as the rule does not define that requirement.

The committee encourage any proposals for next year’s AGM on this rule or any others so that confusion is avoided and we can focus on having fun racing!

Regards,

BRCA 10th EC Formula 1 Sub-Committee
