We are delighted to announce the dates for the 2016/17 LMP12 National season.  This year we have two new venues, Eastbourne and Barley Mow, as well as those we have used so successfully before.  Entries will open on the BRCA website around the end of August.

Racers will be aware that there are now ‘certified’ versions of stock motors available on the market.  As sold, these motors cannot be used at BRCA National events when they are sold above the price limit set out in EB Rule 2.1.  This sets a price limit of £90 for a stock motor.

Its time to apply for a BRCA GT 2017 National. Held over 2 days with split classes, F1 / GT10 Saturday and GT12 Sunday.

Round 5 of the EoE championship saw the bandwagon roll into Kings Lynn at the Bowyer-Lowe raceway, this being the second year they have held a regional on their grass track with many “man made” natural jumps, bumps and a bank bend.

For round 4 of the 4WD series we returned to Hinckley Model Car Club.  The track surface is grass, and due to the grip levels multiple tyre options were available.

The day started dry, and although the rain clouds looked threatening we managed to finish the meeting before the rain came in.

Despite dire weather forecasts leading up the event, the Wet West London track was bone dry on the Sunday morning as the drivers arrived and setup....

For round 4 of the 2WD series we visited Kidderminster Model Car Club, a familiar venue in our region.

Round 4 of the EoE took place on Sunday 5th June at Coastal Model Car Clubs Bourne Hill venue just off the A14. This was a first return to the venue which has sadly been missing from the EoE calendar the last couple of years, with some changes to not only the track but indeed a whole new committee.

IMPORTANT !!!! BOUGHTON NATIONAL 1/10th. OFF-ROAD 2/3 July. Due to unprecedented weather conditions with heavy rain in the Boughton area during recent days (still continuing) :-
THE 1/10 OFF-ROAD NATIONAL HAS NOW BEEN CANCELLED !!!! This decision is being mailed to all competitors entered for the event and will be posted on BRCA websites, but please contact any friends that you know are intending to be at the event to inform them of the decision.

The fifth round of the BRCA National series took place last weekend at the Cotswold Model Car Club, returning to this track for the second time this season. For the first time in quite a while the weather at Cotswold was to remain warm and dry for the weekend ahead, as the 1/8 electric drivers are now figuring out their electronics packages, they're edging closer and closer to the ultimate pace of the .21 engine nitro cars, all though it is clear to see that the electric cars have huge amounts of torque, the 4S battery limit is making the cars a little slower down the main straight.

Here is a closer look at Mark Green's Serpent 977 Evo from the BRCA 1/8th Circuit National Round 5, held at Cotswold Model Car Club, using a primarily standard 977 Evo Mark Green, TQ'd and won the event. An aluminium steering servo saver, aluminium axles and hard plastics were the optional parts used.

The fourth round of the BRCA National series took place last weekend at the Cotswold Model Car Club, returning to this track for the second time this season. For the first time in quite some time the weather at Cotswold was to remain warm and dry for the weekend ahead.
