KIMBOLTON COUNTRY FAYRE - What happened and what was there

For the 5th year in succession, the BRCA were invited to support the Kimbolton Country Fayre, which this year took place on Sunday the 14th July.  This one day event combines the best of country fayre with a classic car show and is held in the beautiful grounds of Kimbolton Castle (now Kimbolton School).

As always our stand consisted of our usual static display of different classes of RC vehicles, lots of promotional literature and our ever popular ‘Arrive & Drive’ track – which, as always, kept the visiting public entertained throughout the weekend.

The show is organised by Sporting Bears, where members of the public can pay to be driven in luxury sports cars owned by supporters of the Charity and funds raised are distributed amongst local communities focused on the needs of children.

A highlight of the show was a fly past display by a Spitfire – possibly on its way back from nearby Silverstone where it was seen flying down the pit straight before the running of the Formula One Grand Prix.

Many of you will have seen the live broadcasts made during the day and hopefully found these to be informative and entertaining!

Thanks to the organisers from Sporting Bears for inviting us to attend and we look forward to returning again in 2020.
