An Afternoon At Manor RC

RC News

A good afternoons racing at Manor RC in Mansfield

Great club worth a visit

Hello there everyone

I'm Chris Jeffery I'm part of the Truggy + E8 Buggy section of the BRCA and Sunday afternoon I went to a local club called Manor RC with my LC Racing Micro Car

I arrived just after midday, just before Mike Nash the guy in charge.

As the drivers started to arrive we started to put the track together.

Manor run multiple classes, including 10th 4WD, 10th 2WD, Micro, and an under 13 class where they can run any car they have

We did 4 rounds of qualfying with the best two to count. The hall was a little chilly to start with but with a fast flowing layout it didn't matter that much

We all did one final which lasted 5 minutes and i came last but oh well, i do it to have a laugh not so much to win

Personally I think I reached my peak in the second round of qualifying. after that all the other races my driving got worse and went out the window. But anyways we all had a good time and it was nice to see younger drivers taking up the hobby

They race every weekend between 1pm and 5pm, Race Fee's is £5 for club members, £7 for non members. they are also running a winter series. which is £8 if you prebook and £10 if you book in on the day. For more information on the club please visit their facebook page or visit their website

Don't forget they are having a Christmas bish bash on the 18th of December, where they will be;

Caravan racing

Last Ballon Standing

Best Looking Caravan/Sledge

and some normal RC Racing

I would like to say to everyone to visit this club when they can, its a great venue and some really friendly drivers, good competition and a right laugh.

The track is located in the barn at Manor School in Mansfield Woodhouse.

Hope you all are doing well and carry on racing!
