Milton Keynes club gets huge response from Reedy Race!

RC News

Alan Hubber of the Milton Keynes club reports “I’ve just come back from our Sunday morning MKRCC club meeting, the first since the Reedy event.  Wow, what a morning.  So many people came along to take a look and find out more information.”

The Model Motorsport Show and Reedy Race 2016 was held at thecentre:MK – the huge shopping centre in Milton Keynes – this month in front of probably thousands of people.  They lined the track three deep at times to watch two full days of head-to-head racing with the best drivers in the world.

The BRCA had a stand and offered free driving on the Arrive and Drive track.  There were trade stands and plenty of BRCA officials on hand to give advice and information.

Milton Keynes club ( had a stand there too that generated this huge response.  Clubs take note, and get yourself a stand at your local event where the BRCA publicity machine is at work.  Contact Alan Leighton ([email protected]) for dates and locations.

Alan reported after the Sunday Milton Keynes club meeting “Not only did we have one of our busiest club meetings for a while with 30+ entries but there were so many people who had come along for a look and to find out more information that Ian didn’t have time to race as he was so busy dealing with enquiries.  I’ve never seen so many kids at an RC club meeting; they were everywhere!
“Only time will tell if all or any of them turn into new BRCA & club members but so far it looks like a fantastic response.
“Everyone involved deserves a big pat on the back, as not only was it a successful race meeting but we seem to have succeeded with the PR bit as well.
“Please accept my thanks on behalf of the MKRCC committee for everything you all contributed.”
