What do we do?

Essentially we race radio controlled 1/10th. scale Off-Road racing cars.  All cars are electric powered.
The racing caters for people from all backgrounds and does not discriminate on sex, age, or disability.
It does provide; a challenging sporting environment where the skill required to drive and build the cars can be tested against other like-minded competitors.

Where do we do it?

The short answer is everywhere.
It’s quite likely that there is a club somewhere near where you live.  Included in this website are details of the representatives of your Region, along with their contact details and even a map with many clubs that could be just round the corner from your home.
Another method of finding your local club is by contacting your local model shops, five minutes spent on the phone or internet, can open up a whole new dimension and fun in model motor sport.

Who are we?

We are a group of RC racing enthusiasts whose aims are best summed up by objective No. 1 — ‘To promote the construction and racing of radio controlled cars’.   Please remember we are all non-paid volunteers doing what we can for model car racing.

The Event

The British Winter Open Championship (BWOC) is a great opening event to the forthcoming yearlong season. A good measure one could say to how the new rides and the teams are doing. By the time February comes round many of the drivers have competed on all sorts of indoor events on all sorts of tracks and are ready for this event. Well everyone was ready apart from the overwhelming record breaking entries that flew in when the on-line booking in system opened up just before the Christmas period. An unprecedented 249 individual entries were received within hours. It’s become clear that with this sort of interest in the BWOC event, the BRCA committee will have to lay down some rules in who gains an entry. A learning curve for many of us for sure but what a great problem to have.

Hi all, the National series will kick off this forthcoming weekend at the long established Kidderminster club.
Although the meetings are full or certainly very near full, I would say there is a possibility of entries getting in last minute.
Send our chairman an email and you just never know – Paul Worsley (paul.worsley@virgin.net)

Must be done today or latest tomorrow though – Good luck and see you all there

2016 British Radio Car Association National Championship Kidderminster
February 6th (2wd) and 7th (4wd) – Round 1 of 6

Kidderminster Radio Car Club Track

You would normally find me giving a description of the track but this time for some amusement I have copied a famous racers Facebook status that he posted for some light hearted fun…..in a funny way he is right!

“I’m off to Kidderminster…..and yes it is raining. A track that holds many records; smallest track anywhere, most corners per inch of land, most chicanes per lap, most consecutive chicanes (currently 5 I believe), smallest percentage chance of overtaking (and not just for one lap but the whole race measured at 0.0000074%) and a straight you don’t actually go straight down as it’s just a continuous curve with no actual straight bit to it! But it’s not all bad, because you don’t need to bring full throttle with you to the track you get good mpg travelling to the meeting, so even though I have 350+bhp I’m getting 50 mpg;-) But hopefully we can all have a good year and a good laugh.”
