Mark Green Top Qualifies and wins at recent 1/8th On Road race meeting at Wombwell, The Wombwell track was one of the first in this country to race 1/8 scale circuit cars with many drivers saying it is one of the best drivers tracks around and once the grip is high.

The Wombwell track in the biggest one in the UK being part of a full size Go Cart track. Saturday was dry and sunny as the track traction improved Mark Green and Tim Wood were testing various setups on the new 977 EVO cars. Other drivers going well were Neal King (Capricorn), John Carr (Serpent), Andrew North (Mugan) and Andrew Hastings (Shepard).

Sunday again the sun was shining and the track temperature was rising, after 4 rounds of qualifying Mark Green took TQ with Tim Wood In second qualifying place.

In the A Final Mark Green’s Nova Rossi powered 977 EVO lead form the start to the finish, Tim Wood was second with his OS powered 977 EVO with John Carr completing the top 3 with his OS powered 977 WC. All of the drivers were using ENNETI tryes.

Tim Wood now leads the National Championship with one round to race.

Final round in the 2015 National series will be at the Mendip track at Weston Super Mere 26 – 27 September.
