The 2026 BRCA 1/5th Circuit National Championship heads to Halifax for one of the biggest weekends of the season, with Rounds 3 and 4 taking place over the Bank Holiday weekend. As the championship battle begins to take shape, drivers will be looking to maximise their points haul across two full days of qualifying and finals on one of the UK's most demanding large-scale circuits. With three exciting classes in action and plenty still to play for, Halifax is set to deliver another weekend of close racing, fierce competition and spectacular 1/5th scale action.

Double Championship Weekend Heads to Halifax!

The 2026 BRCA 1/5th Circuit National Championship continues this May as competitors travel to the fast and demanding Halifax Circuit for an action-packed double-header. With Rounds 3 and 4 taking place over the Bank Holiday weekend, drivers will have the opportunity to score crucial championship points across two full race meetings, making this one of the most important weekends of the season.

Racing will take place from 23rd–25th May at the Halifax circuit on Stainland Road, Halifax (HX4 8LS), with Saturday dedicated to open practice before qualifying and finals take place across Sunday and Monday.

Classes Racing

Competitors will battle it out across three exciting classes:

  • 2WD Open Class
  • FG 4WD Mini
  • FG 530 4WD Touring Car

With championship positions beginning to take shape, expect close qualifying sessions, tactical finals and plenty of wheel-to-wheel action throughout the weekend.

Race Entry

  • £30 per round
  • £60 for both rounds

Entries must be completed via the BRCA website before the event, and all competitors must hold a valid BRCA membership.

Driver Information

Drivers are reminded that:

  • Hi-Vis vests or jackets are mandatory while marshalling.
  • Sensible footwear must be worn (no sandals or flip-flops).
  • Marshals play a vital part in ensuring the event runs safely and efficiently.

Camping & Facilities

The Halifax venue offers excellent facilities for competitors staying across the weekend.

  • Camping available Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights.
  • Operational toilets and hot showers.
  • Limited electric hook-up for motorhomes and caravans (first come, first served).
  • Covered pit area with mains power.
  • On-site cafeteria serving food and drinks throughout the event.

Competitors are kindly asked not to arrive before 2:00pm on Friday, as there is no Friday practice. The camping area has recently been renovated, so please keep vehicle movements to a minimum and help preserve the site.

The circuit opens from 9:00am until 6:00pm, with open practice running throughout Saturday.

Please also remember to keep the pit entrance clear at all times, as it serves as emergency vehicle access, and respect the club's no-smoking policy within the pit area.
