The final round of the 2025 season was held at the Halifax circuit in West Yorkshire on the 27th/28th September. There were still places to fight for in the National Championships in each of the classes .

A decent entry enjoyed a dry practice day on the Saturday . There was meeting at 5pm to ascertain , before the AGM, the driver’s views on how the section should run next year. This stimulated a lot of discussion and members were encouraged to submit any proposals before the deadline.

Rain overnight meant we were greeted by a wet track first thing Sunday morning. .However the forecast was for a dry day thereafter.

Several drivers sat out the first two rounds hoping for the track to dry out. Damps gave some grip but it all came down to the final round of qualifying, by which time the track was virtually completely dry with decent grip.

After 4 rounds of qualifying the positions were as follows :

2nd - Robert Sheperd

A Final GT8

TQ Alfie drove smoothly to take the first leg with Robert in close pursuit. The second leg saw the two drivers swap places with Robert taking it. So out was all on the final leg with youth vs experience . Nine year old Alfie drove like a veteran to take the final leg and win his first A Final !! Richard took the final podium place.

1st - Alfie Wadsworth (Serpent)

2nd - Robert Sheperd

3rd - Richard Oxley

A Final 1/10

TQ Matt Cook led off with the rest chasing. Mark Boothman was going very well and closing until his run of bad luck in finals continued with a rear belt failure.  Jen Garrett was driving well but had a flame out dropping her back . However she kept up the pace and when Matt ran out of fuel the pair ended up on the same lap. The last few minutes of the race were exciting with both drivers nose to tail. Jen was in front holding the line and although Matt was probably little quicker there was no way past . Jen held her nerve to cross the line just 0.16 seconds in front of Matt. Wow ! TQ in the 200mm Touring  Ollie Williams drove a smooth and consistent race to take third.

1st - Jen Garrett (Shepherd))

2nd - Mathew Cook (Mugen)
