Championship Battle Intensifies at Round 2
The BRCA Large Scale Off Road National Championship rolled into Round 2 with drivers eager to gain valuable championship points, and the action certainly didn't disappoint. From the opening qualifying heats to the final chequered flag, spectators were treated to an incredible display of speed, skill and determination as the country's top large-scale racers battled for supremacy.
Fast lap times, close wheel-to-wheel racing and strategic consistency proved to be the winning formula across all three classes, with every final producing its own memorable moments.
Short Course Truck
The Short Course Trucks produced some of the closest racing of the day, but once again Zachary Whittleston proved why he's one of the favourites this season. After claiming Top Qualifier, Zachary carried that blistering pace into the finals, driving a near-perfect race to secure an impressive lights-to-flag victory.
Behind him, Jake Humpheys delivered a calm and consistent drive to secure second place, while David Attiwell completed the podium after battling through a highly competitive field.

2WD Buggy
The ever-popular 2WD Buggy class was fiercely contested throughout qualifying, with Oliver Whittleston laying down the benchmark pace to secure Top Qualifier honours.
When the finals began, however, it was Andy Blackburn who produced the drive of the day. Combining outright speed with remarkable consistency, Andy worked his way to the front and controlled the race to claim a well-deserved victory.
John Darby kept the pressure on throughout to finish second, while Mark Higgins drove a measured race to round out the podium in third.

4WD Buggy
The 4WD Buggy class once again delivered some spectacular racing, with Tayler Letchford setting the pace in qualifying to earn Top Qualifier.
The finals were packed with drama as the lead changed hands and drivers pushed their machines to the limit. In the end it was Leon Satchell who kept his composure under pressure, producing a superb drive to take the overall victory.
Ian Oddie crossed the line in a strong second place after maintaining relentless pace throughout the final, while Letchford added a podium finish to his earlier TQ performance by taking third.

Championship Momentum Builds
Round 2 highlighted just how competitive the 2026 BRCA Large Scale Off Road National Championship is becoming. Every class featured outstanding performances, incredibly close racing and drivers willing to push right to the limit in search of championship points.
With two rounds now complete, the title battles are beginning to take shape, but with plenty of racing still to come, everything remains to play for. If Round 2 is anything to go by, fans can expect even more thrilling action as the championship heads into the next round.
